The Maritime Museum of Tasmania is dedicated to preserving Tasmanias rich maritime heritage for your enjoyment and information.

The Museum is a valuable resource to tourists, researchers, teachers, kids and anyone with an interest in things maritime.

At the museum, informative display panels complement our extensive collection which includes historic items, paintings and model ships.

The museum is mainly run by volunteers, and is always welcoming to new members and donors. Helping to preserve and display Tasmanias maritime heritage is a rewarding way to contribute to your community.
