Part of Sport and Recreation Tasmania, the Silverdome is a multi-purpose facility with a focus on sporting users, particularly netball and cycling. The Silverdome Complex has a range of rooms and spaces available for hire.

Sporting users have priority booking status, in particular for the arena space and cycling track.
The Silverdome is located off Oakden Road at Prospect - signs at the Prospect roundabout lead the way to the venue. It is bounded by the Midland and Bass Highways.
