The Tasmanian Family History Society has been established with the aim of promoting the study and research of Genealogy and Family History in Tasmania, and as a valuable resource to those interested in their ancestry.
The aims and objectives of the Society are to:
promote such study and research through education, preservation and transcribing of relevant records, and the writing and publishing of appropriate literature;
provide, as a public service, reference libraries and associated learning opportunities;
and the doing of all such lawful things as are incidental and conducive to the attainment of the basic aims and objectives of the Society.
