Odeon Theatre |
The Odeon Theatre in Hobart is Tasmania's premier live music venue.
This unique Tasmanian landmark, The Odeon Theatre reopened as a live music venue for the Dark Mofo festivals, as well as hosting occasional mid-sized concerts throughout the year.
Built in 1916, the iconic theatre is an ever evolving cornerstone of live music in the heart of the city. Inspired by the latest New York theatre designs of its time, The Odeon retains a heritage feel, brightened by the influence of modern Hobart. At its core, The Odeon is a celebration of the arts and the community it fosters, inspiring new experiences in live music and performance.
Hosting world-class artists including Queens of the Stone Age, Nick Cave, Laurie Anderson and Electric Wizard.
The Odeon is located in the Hobart CBD at 167 Liverpool Street and forms a part of DarkLab's In The Hanging Garden precinct along with club venues Altar and High Altar, the outdoor Cathedral and Garden kitchens.

Odeon acknowledges and respects the Palawa people as the traditional and ongoing owners and custodians of the skies, land and water of Lutruwita. We pay our respects to their elders both past and present and acknowledge that sovereignty has never been ceded.
