Batts Cottage offers you a fully self contained accommodation option in this superb Georgian convict built cottage, built in 1840.

Batts Cottage has been recently and tastefully restored to provide all modern facilities and conveniences youd expect from accommodation whilst maintaining its historic, rustic charm.

There are two bedrooms, the main with a queen size bed and the second with two singles. All beds have electric blankets and separate electric heating. The open plan lounge and kitchen feature a large romantic open fireplace to warm the room and the mood. The fireplace is pre set and ample firewood is provided.

An open vine covered courtyard with outdoor furniture and a large gas barbecue leads to a separate bunkhouse which sleeps five. (One double and three singles). Ideal for the children! The lounge sofa converts to a double bed if necessary and also available on request are additional fold up beds, a babys cot and a high chair.

Basic breakfast provisions, including tea, coffee, milk, a choice of cereals, fruit packs and a variety of spreads, are provided.

Bothwell is centrally located and an ideal base for further exploration of Tasmania. Just an hour north of Hobart and within easy reach of the southern tourist destinations, other roads from Bothwell lead north via The Great Lake to Launceston and Devonport, west via Hamilton to Strahan and southwest via Gretna to the beautiful Derwent Valley.
