Clover Hill Vineyard-Taltarni Wines |
Clover Hill Vineyard is located in the Pipers River region of North East Tasmania, and was established in 1986 as a dedicated sparkling wine estate planted solely to traditional sparkling wine varietals - Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.
Set on 66 hectares overlooking Bass Strait, the vineyard benefits from a climate similar to the Champagne region of France. Vines are close spaced and planted on deep, red volcanic soil in a frost-free amphitheatre, orientated N-S to maximise sunlight exposure.
Clover Hills is recognized for its award winning wines: 2005 Tasmanian Vineyard of the Year, and its 1998 and 1999 vintages awarded Winestate Magazines Australasian Sparkling Wine of the Year.
