Cornelian Bay features a collection of parks, consisting of Rugby Park, Friends Sports Ground and Cornelian Bay Sports Ground, divided by the Cornelian Bay Cemetary, Brooker Avenue and the popular pedestrian Queens Walk.

The Park hugs Cornelian Bay Beach and is a long established recreation site situated at the point of the Queens Domain, offering a picturesque foreshore-walking track to the Botanical Gardens.

With its classic boat sheds, picnic sites and BBQs, Cornelian Bay offers a great spot for family outings with its playground and collection of accessible play equipment, and serves as a good rest spot along the Intercity Cycleway where public convenience facilities are also available.
