Tasmanias cool climate is perfect for sparkling wine and Lake Barrington Vineyards "Alexandra"is consistently one of the States best. Other wines produced at the vineyard include Chardonnay and a Pinot Noir.
Visitors are welcome at Lake Barrington Estate, where they can unfold a picnic hamper and enjoy the spectacular scenery of the area. The scenery alone is worthy of a trip to the vineyard, and the wine is, of course, a marvellous bonus.
