Pear Ridge Cafe and Wine Centre opened 2004 as a fully fledged licensed restaurant. It was awarded the National Savour Award for the Best Family Friendly Restaurant in Australia.
The demands for functions has been consistent so the new team at Pear Ridge decided to dedicate this beautiful venue and its gardens to weddings & functions only. Although no longer available for general restaurant trade, Pear Ridge is open for functions of all varieties, weddings and also for special occasions such as Mothers Day, Christmas Day lunch and the like so watch this space!
Pear Ridge is surrounded by a beautiful 1.5 acre garden. It has a sunny balcony overlooking a pleasant rural vista including the river. It is easy to find and there is plenty of parking. Pear Ridge is a north facing building boasting plenty of natural light. This contemporary building is located at the gateway of the Channel region merely 18 minutes drive south of Hobart. The pastures are green most of the year, large barrels of hay are a picture as are the grazing black cattle.
The venue seats up to 100, but under a marquee situated in a magical garden on the lawn, up to 250 can be seated. A long table can be set up under the pear arch for that special European style of occasion. Cocktail parties take place with ease, as there is a fully stocked bar. Also there is plenty of suitable food to chose from. Note what we have available for the more substantial finger food party.
