The Astor Grill is a favourite Hobart restaurant for celebrating special occasions.

The restaurants style of food is anchored in traditional cuisine. About half of the menu features grills. They only serve the best available meat. The superb black angus porterhouse and grain-fed scotch fillet are sure to please.

And for those who enjoy a modern flourish, the chef serves a twice cooked crispy-skin duck, a tender kangaroo fillet and Bruny Island oysters that are split on-site. Rather than offer a half or a dozen oysters per serve, they are available in single portions so that diners can elect to try all the different flavour options.
