Maldini Cafe Restaurant

Maldini Cafe Restaurant

Maldini Cafe Restaurant is an Italian restaurant, situated in an historic stone-fronted warehouse on Hobarts famed Salamanca esplanade.

One of Hobarts most popular experiences is to sit under the umbrellas on the sidewalk in front of Maldinis, enjoying the finest espresso coffees, a light meal or snack, or a beer or wine, while watching the passing parade - a particular delight on Saturday market days at Salamanca.

Maldini Cafe Restaurant is owned and operated by Bruno Di Tommaso, Luciano Tiberio and Dante Di Tommaso. Head chef is Victoria Hardwick-Tiberio.

Maldini Cafe Restaurant supports the artistic community in Tasmania. The interior of the restaurant displays the works of several well-known local artists. The wood carving on the bar front was done by Tom Samek, who also did work for the museum at Meadowbank. From June to September, Maldinis presents their Winter Music Series, featuring musicians performing a range of styles such as laid-back jazz, contemporary string music and Flamenco guitar.

Maldini Cafe Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner - seven days a week - and serves the best of Tasmanian and imported wines.
