Runnymede is a rare 19th century whaling familys home, named after Captain Charles Bayleys favourite ship, and home to the family for more than 100 years.
The house contains rich collections of material related to the whaling and maritime interests of the family as well as artworks and family possessions of the previous owner Bishop Francis Nixon, Tasmanias first Anglican Bishop.
Runnymede survives with house, cottage and coach house within extensive gardens.

Runnymede makes a beautiful setting for functions, weddings and cocktail parties.
The music room with doors opening onto the garden is available for special cocktail functions, board meetings and small conferences.
Catering can be provided on request, along with outside caterers for larger events in the grounds.
